Pediatric Surgery with elements of Cardiothoracic Surgery Fourth Year Curriculum for English Division

Aim of the 30 hrs. course:
- Cardiac Surgery: physiology of fetal circulation, circulatory changes of birth, pathophysiology ofselected congenital heart defects.
- Pediatric Surgery is focused on neonatal problems i.e. annorectal malformations, NEC syndrome, diaphragmatic hernias, intestinal obstructions as well as thoracic surgery [pulmonary defects of pulmonary tissue and airways (trachea and bronchi malformations)]. The program provides the general knowledge on pediatric urology, management of burn injury in children, and acute abdominal diseases.
